Fun in the woods on a beautiful spring day

World Book Day March 22. Everyone looked fabulous in their book character costumes, there was a 'Book in a Box' competition and the children did lots of reading and fun activities surrounding books and reading.

The children were really happy to receive their order from the Morrisons It's Good to Grow scheme. The year 6's from the gardening club explained to the infant's how the fruit peelings that they all put in the green tubs are then made into compost in the bins outside.

The children have been to the woods each week this term on our Woodland Federation 'together days' when they spend time with their friends from Great Hucklow CE and Stoney Middleton CE primary schools. They have been building bridges and making mud creatures.

Our Harvest Festival in the Charles King & Martyr Church, Peak Forest. Our school families collected lots of food to donate to the local High Peak Food Bank. The children sang songs & read poems and we sang our favourite Hymns.
