School Dinners

Our school dinners are prepared and cooked offsite and are delivered daily to be served in our dining hall. We order dinner numbers by 9.15am so the school office needs to be informed of any changes by this time.

Dinner Money

Infants receive free school meals under the ‘Universal Free School Meals’ scheme. School meals for junior children are £2.00 per day / £10.00 per week and monies are collected in advance on a Monday morning. It is possible to pay for more than one week at a time, please enquire in the office if you wish to pay for half or a whole term at once although this must also be paid in advance. All dinner money cheques should be made payable to ‘DCC’ and have your name and address written on the back. Cash should be in a named envelope. Please try not to send money in on other days as we have to arrange storage for it until the following week.

Free school meals

It is easy to apply for free school meals and you only need to do it once throughout the entire school life of your child (subject to no changes in circumstances). You can apply online at www.derbyshire.gov.uk/freeschool meals or by telephone on 01629 535743 / 01629 536400 or by email at checking@derbyshire.gov.uk. If you think you are eligible, it is really important to register even for infant pupils who receive ‘Universal Free School Meals’ as the school will receive pupil premium for your child. This funding is completely confidential.
