Governors

​​Our governing body consists of 3 Parent governors, 2 Foundation governors, 1 Local Authority governor, 1 co-opted governor, 1 staff governor and the headteacher.

 

The chair of governors is Professor Chris Fox who is Professor of evaluation and a governor at Manchester Metropolitan University. Chris is a parent governor and is responsible for Performance Management and Teaching & Learning. Present term of office Nov 15 - Nov 19.

 

The Vice-Chair of governors is Andrew Gyte who works at Tunstead quarry in the laboratories. Andrew is a Local Authority governor and is responsible for the Collaboration. Present term of office Feb 17 - Feb 21.

 

Paul Denton is an experienced business professional and a parent governor. Paul is responsible for Buildings and Health & Safety. Present term of office Apr 14 - Apr 18.

 

Revd Carl Edwards is the Vicar of St. Peters in Fairfield, Buxton and is our Ex Officio foundation governor. Carl is responsible for the Church. Term of office is constant whilst in post.

 

Chris Hopley has worked in children's healthcare services in various roles for over 20 years and is a foundation governor. Chris is responsible for Safeguarding and Anti-Bullying. Present term of office Mar 16 - Mar 20.

 

Mike Lynch is our EYFS/KS1 teacher and a staff governor. Mike is responsible for Special Educational Needs. Present term of office Jan 16 - Jan 20.

 

Robert Page is a parent governor and is responsible for Finance. Present term of office Feb 17 - Feb 21.

 

Sarah Thompson is a solicitor in Manchester and is a co-opted governor. Sarah is responsible for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Present term of office Sept 15 - Sept 19.

 

Ros Carter is our head teacher and governor. Term of office is constant whilst in post.
