Governors

​​Our governing body for the Woodland Federation of Peak District Schools consists of 2 Parent governors, 1 Ex-Officio governor, 2 Foundation governors,  1 Local Authority governor,  1 staff governor, 6 co-opted governors one of whom is the acting headteacher.

 

Our governors are drawn from a range of important stakeholders from both Peak Forest & Great Hucklow primary schools - the parents, staff, church and local authority. They work very hard on behalf of the school and often have a specific area that they monitor and help to develop. Governors are elected for a 4 year term of office. 

 

The Chair of governors is Chris Fox who is a parent governor from Peak Forest primary school. Chris is responsible for monitoring Head Teacher Performance Management. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

The Vice-Chair of governors is Hannah Bartholomew who is a local authority governor from Great Hucklow primary school. Hannah is responsible for monitoring Head Teacher Performance Management, Teaching & Learning and Data & Performance.  Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

Nell Wakerley is a parent governor from Great Hucklow primary school. Nell is responsible for monitoring EYFS. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

Revd Carl Edwards is the Vicar of St. Peters in Fairfield, Buxton and is our Ex Officio foundation governor. Carl is responsible for the Church. Term of office is constant whilst in post.

 

Chris Hopley is a foundation governor from Peak Forest primary school. Chris is responsible for monitoring Safeguarding. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

Mark Serby is a foundation governor from Great Hucklow primary school. Mark is responsible for monitoring SEN. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

Sue George is a staff governor from Great Hucklow primary school. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

Paul Denton is a co-opted governor from Peak Forest primary school. Paul is responsible for monitoring Buildings & Premises and Health & Safety. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

John de Pledge is a co-opted governor from Great Hucklow primary school. John is responsible for monitoring Teaching & Learning and Data & Performance. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

Janet Hipwell is a co-opted governor from Peak Forest primary school and is also the Senior Business assistant. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

Mike Lynch is a co-opted governor from Peak Forest primary school and is also the acting Headteacher, EYFS & KS1 teacher. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

Robert Page is a co-opted governor from Peak Forest primary. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.

 

Sarah Thompson is a co-opted governor from Peak Forest primary school. Sarah is responsible for monitoring Teaching & Learning. Present term of office Jan 18 - Jan 22.
